We tend the gardener, not the garden.
Bloom never tracks other people. No message monitoring, no ad networks, nothing sold. The names and contact details of the people you love never leave your device. This is a care practice, not surveillance.

What never leaves your device
The names of the people you tend, their phone numbers and handles, your private notes, your drafts, and your worksheet answers are held in your phone's secure storage — the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. They are never sent to us. If our database were ever exposed, it would not reveal who is in your garden.
What Bloom keeps on its servers
Your account email address, and the garden itself: one record per plant with the kind of relationship it is, the day and month of a birthday if you added one, your care history, the answers you gave when you planted it, and any garden tabs you made. These records carry no names. We do not store birth years.
Sharing a plant
If you invite someone to tend a plant with you, you type their email address and it is sent to our servers, where it is immediately turned into an irreversible hash — we keep the hash, never the address itself. Any note you attach is stored until the invitation is answered, and your own email is shown to the person you invited. This is the one moment Bloom sends a contact detail anywhere.
About plant health
Bloom does give every plant a health level — that is the metaphor doing its work. It is calculated from what you choose to log, it is shown only to you, and it describes how much care a relationship has had lately, not the worth of a person. It is never shown to them, never used to rank anyone, and never sold.
What we never do
We do not read your messages. We do not open your contact list, photos, camera, or microphone. We do not collect your location. We do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your data. The app itself carries no analytics or crash-reporting service of any kind.
Your waitlist email
If you joined the waitlist, we stored your email address to let you know when Bloom is ready. We won't use it for anything else. To remove your address, write to us at hello@bloomapp.co.
Analytics on this website
This website uses Umami — a cookie-free analytics tool — to understand aggregate page traffic. It does not follow you across sites. The Bloom app contains no analytics at all; this applies to these pages only.
